- 1 cup fresh cherries (pitted)
- 1 cup dark chocolate chips
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Wash and pit the cherries, creating hollow centers.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt dark chocolate chips and butter in 30-second intervals until smooth; stir in vanilla extract.
- Toss pitted cherries in granulated sugar until coated.
- Roll out puff pastry on a floured surface and cut squares to wrap each cherry completely.
- Place melted chocolate in each square, add a cherry, and seal the pastry.
- Bake on parchment-lined baking sheet for about 20 minutes until golden brown.
- Allow cooling before serving; dust with powdered sugar if desired.
Notes
- Make sure the puff pastry is thawed properly for easy handling.
- Dusting with powdered sugar is optional but adds a nice touch.
