This delicious Chocolate Chip Banana Bread is the perfect way to use up ripe bananas!


Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 4×8 inch loaf pan.
  2. Mash the ripe bananas in a mixing bowl using a fork until smooth.
  3. Stir in the melted butter until combined.
  4. Mix in the baking soda and salt until evenly distributed.
  5. Add the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
  6. Gently stir in the flour until just combined.
  7. Fold in the chocolate chips and pour the batter into the greased loaf pan.
  8. Bake for 60–65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  9. Cool in the pan for 10–15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
