Description

This classic meatloaf is a hearty dish that brings comfort and flavor to the table.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground Beef
  • 1 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Ground Black Pepper
  • 1/2 cup Chopped Onion
  • 1/2 cup Chopped Bell Pepper
  • 1 Egg, lightly beaten
  • 1 (8 oz) can Diced Tomatoes without Juice
  • 1/2 cup Quick-Cooking Oats
  • 1/3 cup Ketchup
  • 2 tbsp Brown Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Mustard

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F and prepare a baking tray with foil and cooking spray.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together salt, pepper, onion, bell pepper, egg, diced tomatoes, and oats until well combined.
  3. Add ground beef and gently mix until evenly blended.
  4. Shape the mixture into a loaf on the baking sheet.
  5. Combine ketchup, brown sugar, and mustard in a bowl and spread on top of the meatloaf.
  6. Bake for 1 hour, checking for doneness (internal temp should be 160°F).
  7. Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
