Description
Delicious skewers featuring ripe pears, creamy brie, and peppery arugula drizzled with balsamic glaze.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 medium Pears (Use ripe but firm varieties like Bosc or Bartlett.)
- 8 ounces Brie Cheese (Camembert or blue cheese can be alternatives.)
- 2 cups Baby Arugula (Baby spinach can work for a milder flavor.)
- 1 cup Raw Walnuts (Pecans or almonds can be used as substitutes.)
- 1/2 cup Balsamic Glaze (Plain balsamic vinegar can substitute.)
Instructions
- Prepare the Pears: Begin by slicing the pears into quarters. Remove any seeds and stems, then cut the quarters into ½-inch cubes.
- Cut the Cheese: Next, take your brie cheese and cut it into ½-inch cubes. You can leave the rind on if preferred.
- Assemble Skewers: Thread a cube of pear first on each skewer, followed by a bundle of arugula, and then a cube of brie cheese.
- Add Walnuts: Gently press some chopped walnuts onto the brie portions on the skewers for added texture.
- Finish and Serve: Drizzle the assembled skewers generously with balsamic glaze just before serving.
Notes
- This recipe works well with different types of nuts and cheese for variation.
- Make sure the pears are ripe but firm to hold their shape on the skewers.
