- 1 cup butter (for sautéing)
- 1 cup shallots (finely chopped)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 16 oz shrimp (peeled and deveined)
- 4 cups seafood stock (low-sodium preferred)
- 1 cup heavy cream (adds richness)
Instructions
- Melt butter in a pot over medium heat, add finely chopped shallots and garlic. Sauté until fragrant, about 3 minutes.
- Add the shrimp and cook until they turn pink, about 2 to 3 minutes.
- Pour in the seafood stock and let it simmer for 10 minutes.
- Stir in the heavy cream and blend using an immersion blender until smooth.
Notes
- Low-sodium seafood stock is preferred for taste.
