Description
A classic grilled cheese sandwich with a crispy exterior and gooey cheese interior.
Ingredients

- 2 slices sourdough or whole grain bread
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
Instructions
- Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
- Butter one side of each slice of bread generously.
- Place one slice in the skillet, buttered side down. Layer the cheeses on top, then cover with the second slice, buttered side up.
- Cook for 3-4 minutes until golden brown, then flip carefully and cook for another 3-4 minutes until the other side is also golden and the cheese has melted.
- Remove from skillet, slice in half, and serve warm.
Notes
- This sandwich can be customized with additional ingredients like tomatoes or bacon.
- For extra crispiness, use more butter on the bread.
