Description
A delicious and moist banana bread made with ripe bananas and nuts.
Ingredients

- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- Pinch of salt
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 4×8 inch loaf pan.
- In a mixing bowl, mix the mashed bananas with the melted butter until mostly smooth.
- Stir in the baking soda and a pinch of salt.
- Add sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract, and mix until glossy and combined.
- Stir in the flour until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
- Gently fold in the chopped nuts.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 60–65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Let cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- For best results, use very ripe bananas with lots of spots.
- Can substitute walnuts with pecans based on preference.
- Store in an airtight container to maintain freshness.
