Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, cream together softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy.
- Beat in eggs one at a time and mix in vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt; gradually add this mixture to the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips and dried cherries.
- Scoop rounded dough balls onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are set but centers remain soft.
- Allow cooling on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
