  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 1 dash garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Begin by boiling a pot of salted water. Add the orzo and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. While the orzo is cooking, cut the chicken breast into bite-sized pieces. Season with salt, pepper, and a dash of garlic powder.
  3. In a large skillet or wok, heat 1 tablespoon of sesame oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the chicken and cook for about 5-7 minutes, until golden and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the pan and set aside.

  5. Return the cooked chicken to the pan along with the drained orzo. Pour in the soy sauce and fresh lemon juice, stirring well to combine everything. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat through.
  6. Just before serving, sprinkle lemon zest over the stir fry for an extra burst of flavor. Toss everything together.
