Description

Deliciously crispy fried swai fish perfect for a quick meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 fillets swai fish
  • 2/3 cup corn flour
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp Old Bay
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 cup vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. In a skillet with high sides pour in about 1 cup of vegetable oil over medium high heat until it reaches 360 degrees F.
  2. Mix together seasonings. Blot fish with a paper towel to remove water from outside. Sprinkle seasonings on both sides.
  3. Put corn flour into a shallow bowl, lay seasoned fillet inside and gently press. Flip over so it is coated.
  4. When oil is hot add fillet(s) without overlapping. Fry for about 2 minutes on each side until golden brown on both sides and middle is flaky white.
  5. Set on paper towels to absorb excess oil and serve.

Notes

  • Ensure the oil is hot enough before frying to achieve the desired crispiness.
  • Adjust seasonings to taste.
