Description
A quick and easy side dish of sautéed green beans with garlic and butter.
Ingredients

- 450g fresh green beans
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Rinse the green beans and trim the ends. Cut them in half if preferred.
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add green beans and cook for 3–4 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp.
- Immediately transfer beans to a bowl of ice water. Let cool, then drain and pat dry.
- In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant and lightly golden.
- Add the drained green beans to the skillet. Toss to coat with garlic butter and heat through for 2–3 minutes.
- Season with salt, pepper, and a splash of lemon juice. Toss again and garnish with parsley if using.
- Serve warm as a flavorful side dish.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes.
- Great as a side for grilled meats.
