- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar (packed)
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually combine with wet ingredients until just mixed.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips using a spatula.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto prepared baking sheets about two inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden but centers remain soft. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- For chewier cookies, refrigerate the dough for 30 minutes before baking.
- Experiment with different types of chocolate chips for varied flavor.
